Position: Director – Marketing Operations and Analytics

Position Description:

Reporting to the Vice President of Circulation Marketing, the Director of Marketing Operations and Analytics is responsible for three teams supporting direct marketing efforts for Wall Street Journal print, wsj.com, Barron's and Barrons Online.

1.Campaign management utilizing Unica tools to execute acquisition and retention campaigns across all marketing channels.
2.Campaign reporting for acquisition and retention marketing programs.
3.Analytics efforts to identify consumer insights to be shared across organization and influence marketing campaigns.

All database marketing functions have significant technology, process and change management components. The qualified candidate will have a track record for:

The Director of Marketing Operations and Analytics will partner with senior management within Circulation Marketing as well in Customer Care, IT, branding and research to create marketing programs that maximize profitability and develop demand among customers and prospects. The qualified candidate will provide competitive and marketplace intelligence by seeking best practices, finding new ways of solving business problems and establishing efficient methods for acquiring consumer and campaign knowledge.



Position Requirements:

•Minimum of 10 years leadership experience in a database marketing or marketing environment
•Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
•Innovative, strategic thinking with a natural bias to consumer focused insights
•Direct marketing experience a plus
•Strong understanding of industry offerings in the area of technology and customer relationship management systems
•Comfort presenting to all levels ranging from junior staff to senior executives.
•Post-graduate education preferred.
